The Kolored Project
Recipient of Towson University Dept. of Art + Design Scholarship Endowment Award
An on-going personal project to celebrate dark skin through a contemporary re-imagination of Kodak's Shirley Card. By using monochromatic complimentary colors to contrast and highlight rich dark tones. This project has several components: photography book, interactive digital guide, calibration cards, and image filter presets. This is a response to the bias towards dark skin in society, photography and image retouching.
